about

Another great standard that I first heard Jimi Hendrix play, back before I new what blues music was. I was about 12 years old. I think Dr. John's is my favorite version but ours falls closer to the original Earl King version. His is a close second for my favorite version.

lyrics

People talkin' but they just don't know
What's in my heart, and why I love you so
I love you baby like a miner loves gold
Come on sugar, let the good times roll

Let the good times roll baby
Let them fill your soul
Come on and let the good times roll

Love is fine when it's understood
It's even better when it's feelin' good
You got me flippin' like flag on a pole
Come on sugar, let the good times roll

Let the good times roll baby
Let them fill your soul
Come on and let the good times roll

Lotta people live in make believe
They got a lot a dirt up their sleeves
My love baby ain't the kind that folds
Come On sugar, let the good times roll
